David has been helping thousands of people take real control over their personal finances since he began conducting educational workshops in 1995. Since then, David has published several books and continues to write monthly Financial Advice columns including Money, Wisdom & Wealth.

"Writing financial columns every month helps me keep in touch with the pulse of the people. When you consider what has occurred in 2008 and what we are facing as a nation even today, I feel that any additional education I provide can make a difference in someone's life."

David is a member of the Academy for Professional Speaking, a member of the National Speakers Association St. Louis Chapter, and is registered with Speaker Match.

Born and raised in Chicago, David moved to Springfield, IL with his wife to raise their three children including a set of twins. Life is never dull at the Lisnek household and David carefully weaves the realities of life into all of his presentations.

"When I am standing before an audience, I know they are expecting great things...new things. I know they are expecting comfort and wisdom. What I do as a speaker is connect with the audience's core and reaffirm in them the sense that they will be better armed with the confidence, clarity and conviction to handle each day. Humor, humility and honoring their time are absolutes!"

One the most unique features of David's presentations is how willing he is to interact with the audience and the depth of his Question & Answers sessions. His uncanny ability to explain the unexplainable provides his audiences with the value they are seeking. In fact, his financial programs have been trade marked as The Workshop Your Advisor Hopes You Never Attend and with good reason.

"It is amazing how so many people can misunderstand what they are doing with their money...and why. Workshop participants hear the hard truth and learn that they do have the ability to better manage their money, investments and financial affairs. All it takes is a willingness to learn by asking the right questions until you get the right answers."

David is able to work on a variety of platforms from keynote presentations to private events for your organization. He frequently conducts public forums and workshops and can speak beyond the financial genre.

"After reaching the Gold level through Toastmasters International, I felt compelled to package that wisdom and my experience with professional speaking into a workshop format. That is why I wrote and developed ARIO: Communication Skills That Set You Apart. The first rule I teach is that you should never speak about a topic that you are not passionate about...and I am very passionate about helping people at all levels improve their communication and presentation skills. Deep down inside, I feel many of life's problems could be avoided if people communicated better with one another."

A philanthropist at heart, David routinely donates a portion of his speaking fees and book sales to local charities and fund raisers.

"I know money does not grow on trees and that there are so many worthy causes in need of financial support. Serving as a featured attraction for a fund raiser probably is my most rewarding platform for speaking. It is an absolute pleasure to be in a room with hundreds of people who care about the same causes and are willing to do something. It is nothing short of electric."
